It Took All Summer- Metamorphosis Monday

At the beginning of Summer, I put three plants in the brick planter box built-in along my front door steps.

My post about this process can be found by clicking on the picture above, or HERE.
There was only so much I could do to ensure the growing process.   It was pretty rainy and cold.  My rose bushes suffered a lot of black spot and I thought for sure they would just curl up and die.  The roses that did emerge were very deformed and ugly.

The rainy weather also discouraged me from even working in the yard.  I opted to follow the limited flower feeding schedule of eight weeks.  I kept the aphids at bay with the garden hose.

These are photos from the last few days.  I know everyone around has had beautiful roses for a couple of months.  I’m happy with late instead of never.  I can’t take credit for the success of these plants.  While I provided a little care, I know God is responsible for their metamorphosis. 2. I love the way your planter filled in, looks great. The fountain with the two roses on either side really add to your home. Your roses look so much nicer than mine, I guess I should pay them a little attention. Happy Metamorphasis Monday!
